4 of 5 Bought for a friend April 17, 2016

I bought this as a gift for a friend's child. Cute story. Not a major deal, but I wish there was an option to choose the primary language. My friend is French, and I would have liked a book that was French with English subtitles as opposed to the other way around. It doesn't ultimately make a difference in the enjoyment of the story, however, and I'm glad I found this.

5 of 5 So happy to have found these! January 27, 2015
Reviewer: Barbara H. from Palos Verdes Estates, CA United States
I bought four of Language Lizard's English/Romanian children's books as a gift for our regular waitress at the restaurant where we go every Friday night. She and her husband emigrated to the US from Romania four years ago, and they're expecting their first baby. I know the books are for "later," but I always give bilingual books to immigrant families as a "welcome to American but don't forget your roots" gift. My own grandparents came here from Italy and promptly told their children, "Not one word of Italian!" How I wish my mom knew Italian and taught some to me! These are high-quality books and I hope they help sustain the cultural bridge the recipients have built.
