Fairy Tale in Croatian April 7, 2020 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Bethesda, MD United States   This book was purchased as a Christmas Gift for a 84 year old friend who was born in Croatia, came to the U.S. shortly after WWII, and now lives with one of her grandsons and his family which currently includes her two great granchildren, ages 3 and 1.  She likes to speak to them in Croatian and was very delighted to receive this book to share with them. So happy to have found these! September 14, 2019 Reviewer: Barbara H. from Palos Verdes Estates, CA United States   I bought four of Language Lizard's English/Romanian children's books as a gift for our regular waitress at the restaurant where we go every Friday night. She and her husband emigrated to the US from Romania four years ago, and they're expecting their first baby. I know the books are for "later," but I always give bilingual books to immigrant families as a "welcome to American but don't forget your roots" gift. My own grandparents came here from Italy and promptly told their children, "Not one word of Italian!" How I wish my mom knew Italian and taught some to me! These are high-quality books and I hope they help sustain the cultural bridge the recipients have built. Was this review helpful to you?
